Yer but travel insurance still doesn't cover me because I don't have an Australian bike licence until Cambodia licence is recognised by your home country you will need both countries licences to be insured
You will be covered for the category that’s on your home licence (as in from where your insurance is) no matter what your overseas licence says.

As far as I know you need a Cambodian licence to legally drive no matter that you drive in Cambodia
No licence you are not legally allowed to drive so no insurance

There's no licence for 125 and under only class A above 125 go Aeon tell them you want class A ask for form to get filled out proving your residency address I had Kumar friend chase this up took him3 goes anyway that's the hard part
Once that's ok you go for medical eg eye test a week later sit exam on computer and practical test all this is done at the same place forgot the name
Checkout other threads about licences
You will need a bike over 125 to sit the practical hire one of those big scooter otherwise you'll have trouble getting around the course between the cone's you need a bike with good turning circle
