From extensive questioning of expat men who nave gotten officially married to Khmer birds ( ladies ) , at least %90 - 95 % have regretted it 2 years down the track and they nave taken a financial beating. Those that are still together do so only because " there are children involved..
I guess anyone referring to Khmer ladies as 'Khmer birds' has indeed at least a 90% chance of failure with 'the birdies'.

There's plenty old fellas with young kids, up to them and the mother I suppose, but I wouldn't want to

You somehow know how old the average poster/expat is? Amazing intuition...

This whole topic is analogous with the saying in English... Lie down with mangey/mankey dogs and you will get up with fleas...
Therefore select your female partner/s carefully.

It is said that... a man is only as old as the younger female companion he is respectfully caressing...

I think the vast majority of dogs have fleas in Cambodia and ironically the ones who don’t are owned by expats often with Cambodian partners, who you’ll see walking them on a lead. Which is always an amusing spectacle.
Don’t listen to Chinese whispers.
