What's the secret to getting a PO Box?

Post by StroppyChops »

I've been into the GPO a couple of times looking for a PO Box, and typically the answer is 'not have, you come back' with a snigger or smirk - obviously there is some game afoot. Is it as simple as finding someone with a need for a little extra cash? If so, advice on the logistics of making that happen?

Or is the game simply that there really is not ever any boxes available? If this is the case, is any long termer willing to allow us to use their PO box as a mailing address for a small consideration?

If the GPO is full, there are other POs around. There used to be, and maybe still is, one on Sihanouk near Monivong.

Oh look, I found some recent info from somewhere on the internet, here . . .

After giving up my PO Box at the main PO center, about 5 years ago, I found that I needed one again, one year later, and went through the same problems trying to get one again. Now of-course, no-one sends me any mail so I only check it every 3 months and hand back in all the mail that is not mine. I'm tempted to throw it all in the rubbish bin .

Stroppychops ,,,,It's your if you want it,,on long term loan. PM ,me where to leave the key.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Hey Stroppy, when you touch base with Duncan, can you see if there are any more weddings coming up at that village?

Cheers. :beer3:
