Also some words which originated as brand names:

Doona = duvet
Esky = portable cooler box (or even worse, in NZ, a "chillybin")
Thongs = flip flops (NZ = "jandals")

British spelling. Combination of UK and US vocabulary. Total inability to pronounce vowels correctly.
