hopefully someone in snook will be able to visit her its not too much to ask there must be a decent khmer guy/girl around perhaps that needs an odd job and has some spare time...

I can ask my friend if she's interested, her mum was in there for 3 yrs so it might have some bad vibes.
You would have to pay her for the service!

Update:
Last time she was there (approx 2 yrs ago) it cost $20 to the prison guards to see an inmate, she refers to them as the police.
Because of the amount of drugs she was caught with she is very worried & says they will ask her lots of questions; how she knows her etc.
If you want my friend to meet her, her fee will be $50.
She suggested that food & toiletries etc can be delivered for a much cheaper price & would not be a problem.
She will be under strict instructions by me not have any other items delivered besides food & basics.
Apparently money is used in gaol.
There seems to be a guilty by association syndrome attached to your friend!!!

Thankyou Yobbo for your kind advice - Do you or anyone else think it is possible to pay an agreed upon fine to the Sihanoukville prison warden I assume to get her released?

Could this be achieved for example by sending her to a doctor where she is declared DOA so she could she walk away end of matter?

There must be deals like this done all over the country (and in many other countries) - its probably a matter of approaching the prison administrators correctly I would think.

So is this doable boys and girls? Do you know anyone local with bureaucratic experience that could try approach the snook adminstration directly and see if they are open to such a proposition? Worst they can say is no correct? (or name a ridiculous price). Its just a straight forward job to go and ask after all....

I am on an Australian pension and trying to do a good deed...If it succeeds I do not expect any thanks or recognition. I doubt she is capable of remembering me after 5 years of beatings and endless misery with all nil vitamins that are required to keep anyone in human working order... Just pity my ex friends plight and am trying to throw some good karma her way - pay it forward if possible for once I guess.

Worst that can happen is that someone takes a large amount of your money and then buggers off with it, or an official takes it and then decides he needs a bit more, and then a bit more, and then... (I'm not casting aspersions on Yobbo or his friends by the way, but these things happen)

I think what the OP is asking someone to do is borderline suicidal. Asking someone to offer a bribe to an official is not what his original ask was. If he’s wanting someone to break the law for someone who is in prison for breaking the law then he needs to come here himself and take that risk.

These type of arrangements are made through lawyers and courts. The police who run the prisons are not going to let anyone bribe their way out.

As i said before on this thread, gf's brother, busted with intent to distribute Meth in Kep in 21<

Police/lawyer said he was looking at 10 years
for $1,000 it would be 5
for $5,000 they allowed him out in 1 year

as she has already served time, talk with a lawyer an he "might" be able to get her out

BUT as ur not in shv, who will handle negations for you?

You wont get anything done by going to the warden, must be thru the court

well I emailed every lawyer in PP and only a couple seriously replied saying have to appeal to court for a new hearing based on some error made in the original hearing but thats not gonna work of course its just lawyer consuming my money with something that sounds like something official but I can see thats complete crap never gonna work.

Where is the starting point then on getting this done? Without ridiculous retrial suggestions...
