Re: EB visa requirement
6 months only? I was hoping to apply for a 1 year extension. I mean either way I plan to extend my visa but it would just be easier if I can extend my initial 1 month EB visa to a 1 year multiple entry and work there for a year. I know that I will have a job within the first month of stay there. I am just trying to make things easier for me as there is a lot to plan and think about. Would you have any tips for a new comer? I am open to any and all suggestions that you might have for me.Kammekor wrote: ↑Sat Oct 20, 2018 12:33 pmIncorrect.Zhivago451 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 20, 2018 12:13 am Hi guys! So after reading through that load of confusing mess I want to make this clear for me for when I arrive in Phnom Penh soon.
1) Upon arrival in Phnom Penh I can apply for a business visa at the Phnom Penh airport for about $35 which is good for 1 month stay
2) I can then take that business visa to a any travel agency or the immigration office right across the street from the Phnom Penh airport and extend my business visa for about $280 (Do I really need a letter from a business in order to extend my visa or can I just pay the $280 and done?)
From what I gathered its:
Get B visa
Go on foot looking for jobs
Find job and get a letter from them
Take letter to get B visa extended
Use extended B visa to get a WP
Enjoy my stay in Phnom Penh for a year
Is this correct?
You are not qualified for an EB extension because you don't have a job.
You can apply for an EG extension, max 6M, which gives you 6M max to find a job (plus the initial one that's 7 months). If you succeed, you can use documents from your employer to apply for an EB extension after your EG expires. if you don't, you have to leave the country when your EG expires.

You find a job within the first month (validity of original 'ordinary visa')...
and...
Your employer provides you with the needed letter within the same time frame (one month),
then you can apply for a 1Y EB extension. But this is Cambodia, events might not happen as quick as you are used to.

Re: EB visa requirement
Hi Guys,
Can anyone confirm if the one month visa is still valid for one month and not 30 days like some other countries? I've been in Cambodia for a few years now, but come next year I want to extend my business visa for just one month and go home.
My 6 month EB visa is valid until 25th May, If I request a one month extension will it be valid until 25th June? Looking through many old tourist visas it seems whatever month you arrived it is one whole calendar month and not 30 days like Thailand, Laos etc
Thanks

Re: EB visa requirement
My E extension of stay (aka visa) for 1 year shows the extension is valid for all calendar days, so no no thirty days, full months. It was unfortunately a bad headache to get things done as it took more than 2 weeks. Last year I had it within 3 works days. You might like to keep that in mind, as I could affect your other paperwork.

Re: EB visa requirement
Hi. I am in Phnom Penh for 2 weeks and I have e ( business visa ) on arrival. I want extension my visa to 1 year. And I want to get self employed work permit.i will not work for anywhere , just want to get one year visa and I talked with some agencies and they told me;
To get one year extension I need work permit
To get work permit , I must have Residency Permit with Local Sangkat Office.
To get residency permit , I must have 3 months or longer rental contract.
After I get residency permit ,I need employment letter to get work permit
Do you know what is residency permit ? How to get it ?
And is it really very difficult and really I must prepare so many paperworks ?
Local visa agencies or fixers cannot do these things for me. And get me wp and one year extension if I just provide my passport ?
I stay at Hotel and I don’t want rental contact or employment letter.
Please give me advices how to get one year visa and wp ? Do you know an agency to do all for me ?
