Re: EB visa requirement
No, you need an E-type (Ordinary) visa and then the EG EOS.bvanfossen wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:18 am Ok to get back on topic, lol! I rented an apartment now and looking for work
I've decided to go to Thailand for a few days. When I come back (land crossing) I need to get a regular tourist Visa and the 6 month EG EOS?

Re: EB visa requirement
I'm still staggered that there's no form of family visa for expats with Khmer spouses/partners. That's just not right.Username Taken wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:03 pm As I was not employed at the time, I had no letter so had no choice but to get an EG (they did, however, offer to give me a dodgy letter for some $$, which I declined).
"Fined" is a relative term. Do the dumb thing and get your WP through an agent and you'll certainly be "fined" for previous years. Personally I think that "fine" money completely disappears before it ever hits the books.bangkokhooker wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:19 pmi didnt say wp i said eb eos without ever having a wp.Username Taken wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:17 pm I have about 10 years of WPs. Doesn't mean jack. Must have the letter from your employer. YMMV.
if u apply for a wp u will be fined
I'm yet to hear of a person being "fined" for previous years if they use the WP online portal.
How much for the pheasant?

It's been a long time since I did in my own country.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 9:26 pmNah, I'm just pluckin' pheasants cuz the pheasant plucker's late...
Fancied one of theses for Christmas. Saw him up the hills in Koh Kong.
Problem is I don't have a oven that large.

Re: EB visa requirement
I grew up working on a dairy farm, and life was peaceful and harmonious, with butterflies and daisies. Then the farmer's son decided to try turkeys for the Christmas market, as they were relatively unknown in Western Australia at that time. I hate those damned birds.AndyKK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 9:57 pmIt's been a long time since I did in my own country.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 9:26 pmNah, I'm just pluckin' pheasants cuz the pheasant plucker's late...

Re: EB visa requirement
Try that in any western country. I am sure they will agree and will not charge you any tax at all. Thailand has a visa scheme now for people who do that but tis expensivetimmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 9:51 pmIs bringing in external income and spending it on rent - and elsewhere in the local economy - not a contribution? Especially when you're (mostly) being charged Barang prices...whiteribbon wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 9:40 pmWhat would the benefit to Cambodia be of you living here? None?
