Thanks UT, my passport doesn’t expire for another 3-4 years but the info is useful. I’m still going to carry my old passport and cash though lol.

Doing the K-visa in a few weeks over here in 'Merica. It's free, done by mail and I'd rather not bother at the airport.

Yesterday, my 2 sons and I flew out of Pochentong to Australia via Kuala Lumpur. My kids (Khmer) were travelling on new Oz passports. Their K Visa was in their old expired Oz passports. At no time were we asked for an Exit visa. (I didn't have one anyway).
That sounds like a lot less hassle than going and getting a new exit visa. I thought every foreign passport had to have entry information on it, did they know the kids had K visas already?

Yes, I handed Immigration both passports, old and new.

Sorry but have to bring up this post again.

My kid's passport is going to expire in early of April 2021, and his K Visa pasted in the passport have no expiry date on it, mean that it will follow passport expiry date.

My questions are:
1. Where can apply K Visa renewal in Cambodia since we have no intention to fly out & in due to Covid-19? As i know, the immigration department opposite the Phnom Penh Airport does not issue K Visa
2. Just check with embassy, renewal of passport will take 4-5 months (haizzzzz), in case the new passport come back late, after the old passport expired (K Visa expire), will it consider overstay? need to pay the fine USD10/day?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I believe the only way to get one is on entry. I don't think you can be charged overstay considering the child is legally Cambodian. Maybe someone else knows better?

Cannot obtain new K-type Visa in country, even under current circumstances.

No overstay will be applied.

Get your kid their Cambodian passport.
