Visa agencies in Phnom Penh

Post by Randolphgb »

Hi, I’m looking for a reliable visa agency in Phnom Penh to get a 60 day tourist visa back to Thailand.

This will be my first time in Cambodia. I’m hoping to stay somewhere central near the naughty nightlife, so would want near that.

Any idea how many days they take for the visa? Is it possible to give on a Friday and collect on Monday (or even next day on Saturday or Sunday). Or is the weekdays better?

Thanks

You could do it in person. Most moto-dops and tuk-tuks would know where the Thai embassy is, especially those around the riverside area.

Here is most of the information you need:

http://www.thaiembassy.org/phnompenh/en ... -Visa.html

Last time I did this, I did not need to show any travel tickets, this may have changed now, not sure.

Take note of the Submission and Collection times:

Office Hours :Monday - Friday 08.30–12.00 hrs. and 14.00–17.00 hrs.
Visa and Consular section : 08.30–11.00 hrs. (Submission Time)
15.00-16.30 hrs (Collection Time)

If you would rather do it through an agency, all travel agents along the riverside can organise this for you.

Thanks, yes might use an agency as there fees don't seem to be that much higher than the embassy fee. Friday to Monday for the $60 next day service would probably be OK then . Thanks

Does anyone have recent experience getting a Thai tourist visa in Pp? I'm wondering if the requirements (accommodation and exit flights) are less onerous than when applying at home.

If you go to an agency they probably wont ask for any of that information. I have never been to the embassy to do it but assume they will ask you a few questions.

Even if they do. you could always book a bus ticket to leave & first nights accom

Thanks, I found that was the case a couple of years ago but was wondering if that might have changed. And I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I have seen either on here or thaivisa that bus tickets don't work.

You may be right. Their website only says Travel tickets which would suggest that it would be ok. Through the agency you would need anything

Does anyone have information about visa agents who can help in getting an E-Business visa into Cambodia?
Anyone have info about whether this type of visa is even still available; trying to apply on the government e-Visa website will only allow you to apply for the E-B visa if you are from China. Should this be taken as a hint that Westerners are not welcome in the Kingdom any longer? Now only Chinese are wanted?

Feedback would be most appreciated, as I do not know who to trust from Internet sources. Uncertain who is legitimate and who is a scammer.
