Anyone have info about whether this type of visa is even still available; trying to apply on the government e-Visa website will only allow you to apply for the E-B visa if you are from China. Should this be taken as a hint that Westerners are not welcome in the Kingdom any longer? Now only Chinese are wanted?

Feedback would be most appreciated, as I do not know who to trust from Internet sources. Uncertain who is legitimate and who is a scammer.

The E-type (Ordinary) Visa (often still incorrectly referred to as the Business Visa) is currently only available in advance from Cambodian Embassies/Consulates. The criteria varies from Embassy to Embassy, however most require extensive business/employment related supporting documentation from a Cambodian registered company.

Yes there are people/agencies that are selling supporting documentation for people to be able to apply for the E-type Visa, usually at extortionate prices, this is fraudulent and illegal, many people have had their Visa applications denied as the persons vetting with the applications have deemed the supporting documentation to be fake, or purchased. I would advise you to steer well clear of anyone who contacts you offering to sell you the required documentation.

If you have been offered employment in Cambodia, then the employer will need to provide you with the necessary supporting documentation, there are also some educational institutes which can provide the necessary documentation if you enroll in one of their courses. If you don't have sufficient justification, then just wait out, we are likely to see further easing of the current restrictions in the next few months, although that is purely speculation on my behalf.

The E-type (Ordinary) Visa is only available to Taiwanese passport holders via the evisa.gov.kh website because the Cambodian Consulate in Taiwan was instructed to stop issuing Visas to Taiwanese citizens.
