Anyone know the current legal status of Vietnamese plated motos in Cambodia? I have read the new & updated translated version but did not see this issue addressed.

As far as I understand it, If a visitor from Vietnam, you are allowed to drive in Cambodia for 6 months, then you need to transfer the docs, pay the tax and re-plate and re-register the vehicle. Cost is about $350-400 if it is a basic Wave for instance.

Thanks Juan. May I inquire as to the source for that info. Still researching a definitive. But as many things here the real answer may be Cambouflaged.

It's not quite $350-400 for a used bike, but for a new Wave that's about right. (125 that is, family has imported one before).

A used bike (we brought one CD125 over) was $200 something, but the price varies between who you deal with. I don't know the time frame on how long you have.
