It's not been so eventful for us. Perhaps because we move around as a family, I don't know. Lovely mountains around the city, we've had a good climb. Will post pics in 'On The Road' at some point (assuming I can get them off the phone).General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 7:41 pm I would just like to say I've been to Addis Ababa. I loved the place. But unfortunately can't help you locate any embassies there.
Have you been pick-pocketed yet? I couldn't walk 2 fucking blocks without a scammer trying something on me.

Well, I guess he discovered the ignore button fairly early on... anyhow , who the fuck is this ninja, askin shit about Iranian embassies in fuckknowsistan on this particular forum?
Why?
Surely there are more informed expat forums in fuckknowsistan?
Then again, maybe it's just science?

When you see even the most outspoken advocates of truth muzzled by law and rules it seems that we can't always be frank, Frank. GM knows this and states it straight up on this thread. For many people, if they want to keep their standing, there are rules. (I've been trying to stay off the forum, but when it comes to basic info, I need it). When there's public interest at stake you should speak up. I don't think that this is the case here, I'll do my best though.
Why not travel to the UK? I spend over two decades there after all?
Why not go back to China, I spent over a decade there (interviewers asked me this in Cambodia)?
How do you see the environment you live in? Your lifestyle? What do you notice about it? What is the effect on your family, your personal relationships, personal habits?
If you feel that staying somewhere you will end up in a rut, or if things aren't going anywhere, or downhill, it may be time to move. Why does this happen? Well that might be a personal question, or an (human) environmental one. It's certainly a personal decision and much more complex with a family because all parties must be considered.
Cambodia is an excellent place to settle down, and if I'd have found a good job there I would definitely have settled down. Perhaps for 10 or 20 years, maybe longer.
Can you please post a google images map of the location of the Iranian Embassy in Addis Ababa now?

Same old map Jimsocks posted at the start of the thread. It doesn't correspond to the address. There's no Jimma Road on it. Let's play the Jimma Road game...britscienceteacher wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:24 pm Now how about we play a The Jimma Road Game?

Well, I am married and it is a rut , especially here in rural Cambodia. Living as a loving and responsible husband and father is a demanding rut. Best as I can figure, the secret is a bit of acceptance mixed with a refusal to move in and furnish that rut with complacency.

As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.
