I maintain my position that it is a waste to try and discuss something on a forum where a moderator removes posts merely because they contain a different opinion.

clutchcargo’s moderation practices favors those he agrees with and hurts the forum in the long run because people begin to self censor to avoid week long bans for trivial reasons.

Have a nice day

Since when was it ok to tell a bloke his girl is a hooker, or imply it?
I don't think it's OK to say "She's a hooker!"

I do think it's fair to point out . . . her offering to meet single male travelers and then sleeping in the same room and being paid for her time is quite sketchy or incredibly naive. The OP has brought up the circumstances and asked us to comment on it

Isn't there a euphemism for sex workers in the Philippines - Guest Relations Officers or GROs?

It does appear that the guides on the site are mostly young women and the customers mostly male.

Yeah Fax, i get your point now. Thanks.
And i also know i am a ridiculous prude about lots of stuff. ('don't fully understand that myself, after the life i have lived)

Bottom line - free speech rules.
Juggling my responses to all the different opinions is one of the main reasons i continue on ceo.
Observing my reactions to all the different viewpoints, and trying to find the "truest" for me. I learn a lot from that process, but i am still a beginner.
First response is often pretty intolerant, but that can change in 5 seconds if i think a bit further.

As they say in Byron Bay - it's the dance, not the destination...
(yeah i know - puke) chuckle.

This reminded me of that group of Khmer women who started a moto-taxi / tour service or something like that, some years ago. I wonder if they're still up and running.

I have known a few girls who are 'tour guides'. For those wanting and hoping to believe they are simply that, read on.

My 'tour guide' friend kept telling me she was meeting her clients because her other friend could not. She went to hotels for the weekend or several days, fun range, dinners, and places she even had no real knowledge about.

The kicker happened after a couple (let's call them) hookups was when she told me she was going to Vietnam for her tour guide business, but admitted that she had never been to Vietnam before. When I asked her how she can be a tour guide in a place she had absolutely zero prior experience or knowledge with, the story began to unravel.

Turns out she got her visa and (ORIGINAL brand new) passport paid for by one of these clowns who dumps a shitload of money on a goodlooking broad, just to elevate his feeling of self worth.

She is now traveling to Singapore and Malaysia as part of her tour guide profession. Obviously there are desperate people all over the world who can't attract women without offering several hundreds of dollars a day to have a buddy.

It is the newest term being used for prostitution. And women will do anything for money, most certainly lie to someone that they're in a relationship that is not providing them with the same immediate financial windfall and travel opportunities.

Sweet Lemon wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2019 11:42 pm It sounds like she's being directed more towards being an "escort" than a tour guide. Does she use her photo in her profile on these sites soliciting clients?

It is unusual for tour guides to go to bars with clients, meet them for coffee after the tour is over, or share a hotel room.

"I had to book a shared hotel room for us" is complete and utter nonsense.

It sounds to me like if she's not on the game then she's totally naive and setting herself up to sexually assaulted.

Single guys visiting Cambodia don't need round the clock tour guides. If she tells this latest client that her male colleague will be doing the tour instead this client is going to cancel in heartbeat.
She is being directed??? By whom?? She's doing it on her own free will!! These (Khmer) women value money over their bodies. They are prostitutes who have zero allegiance to anyone but themselves.

When you don't know him or the girl?
When the bloke needs a bit of help.

The key is we don't know the girl, so we cant make those judgements. If she was a hooker before she met her latest boyfriend, she probably would not care if she did sleep with clients. If she is a good girl, she has little understanding of what men may do if they get the chance.

Another time, another place, another man, another girlfriend. She was a girl who was happy having more than one boyfriend. Her boyfriend caught her in bed with another man. I said, that is what you expect when your girlfriend is a prostitute. He said, no she is not. Another friend said, I didn't want to say anything, but yes she is. His friend would have been more helpful if he had told him sooner. I actually thought the boyfriend knew. She obviously put on a special act for the boyfriend, while everyone else knew. How can intelligent people be so gullible.
