Lots of reality cop shows out there contradict that. Cops not just get photographed, but even video taped and broadcast for everyone to watch their actions.SternAAlbifrons wrote:Cops 101
All cops everywhere reeeally hate being photographed.
However, I think police (and anyone else for that matter), don’t like having a camera shoved into their face with plenty of loud obnoxious questions and insults hurled at them for good measure.
The cops already have a stressful job of maintaining public order.
There are of course, cops in western countries.
In Cambodia, completely different.
Now cops doing what they shouldn’t be doing and being recorded, different matter as well.

Technically, I think it is not illegal. However, police at the moment may feel strongly to the contrary, enough so that they will attempt to delete the video by force.
Whether it is technically illegal or not, I wouldn't rely on the law supporting you in the current context in Cambodia.

Normal knee jerk reaction to anyone caught doing something they shouldn’t do is 1) destroy the evidence 2) punish the one catching them in the act.
Police are no different.
Once took photo of the boys in blue sleeping on top of the statue at Riverside. They wanted to arrest me immediately and destroy the photo. Pretended to speak only Chinese (this was before the Westport invasion) and beat a retreat to Indochine.
