Blood Thinners?

Post by NeverNude »

Hi. Are there any pharmacies here that sell blood thinners—specifically Warfarin? I could get them any pretty much any pharmacy in Thailand, but no luck here in PP. I am out by Russia Blvd./2004, all the pharmacies out here are similar—tiny little shops with very few items on the shelves. Are there any big pharmacies in the “downtown” area?

Try the pharmacies near Wat Mahamontrei, near Olympic stadium, Sihanouk Blvd.

Or try Pharmacie de la Gare on Monivong, close to the railway station. I have had luck there with quite a few meds other pharmacies didn’t carry. Well-stocked pharmacy.
And, it’s all air conditioned.

I recommend the ones at the junction of 51 and 136, especially the two on the corners on the west side of 51. Good stock and good prices.

This one has a massive range of stuff but is always super busy - to get served you need to just push to the front of the counter and give them a piece a paper with what you want on it (or a note on your phone).

If they haven't got it, you'll struggle to get it.

I found it here. Cost $25, compared to the $15 I paid in Thailand.

The one almost immediately next to Lucky supermarket (heading west on Sihanouk Boulevard) has an excellent reputation amongst western trained doctors.
They are certainly the most professional pharmacists I have found here.

I used P de la Gare in the early days but found them expensive and not really interested in personalised advice.

Yes, P. de la Gare must be among the most expensive ones, but has a really big selection.

The one next to Lucky on Sihanouk is indeed very good, but not cheap. The one on the corner of Oh Russei market has a decent selection and is a bit cheaper. They will also try to order anything not in stock just for you.
