Top 5 or 10 Places You Eat At

I'll be coming back to PP soon after a 2 year absence. Please list a few of the restaurant that you recommend. Indicate $(cheap) or $$(not too bad). Not into expensive because I don't need a the extra expense for atmosphere. Thanks in advance.

Interesting thread. I'd like to see some replies. I personally don't eat out much, but I'll think about it and try to compile a list.

It depends on what you like. If you are eating around the riverside area I know most of the Places ..

If American/Western Grub Go with Lonestar for southern cooking or Larry's (Great Pizza and Pastas among other things) or Cadillac (Good Eats, huge portions, and every item on menu is $5 on Fridays)... (the latter two a bit more expensive due to location).

Plenty of tourist quality Khmer/western food places along the river side and also on St 172 ... IMHO the quality does not vary that much from place to place.Expect to pay $4-5$ a dish.

Also Great and cheap Indonesian food on St 178 (Bali Hai)

Cheers,

RD

IN PP....

1. Steve's Steakhouse - surprisingly good for a place that always seems to be empty. Used to like taking a book there and reading through happy hour and then grabbing some grub at the end of happy hour.
2. Chat and Chew - the cooks used to work at The Exchange until they started out themselves. The beef wellington is wonderful.
3. Magnolia - really good Vietnamese food in a nice setting.
4. Dolce Vita - Good coffee (very good for a Khmer owned place) and nice selection of Western and local... breakfasts are particularly good. Bacon, egg and cheese buns for the win.
5. Open Wine - awesome lunch deal that is pretty much unbeatable value for what's provided.
