tazers and mace?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

you can get them cheap at big markets here.
i have never even thought about owning one, you are not likely to run into a situation where you would need it unless you are stumbling around at drunk AM in a seedy area.
First time in SEA in 2010 i bought a extendable baton in patong and carried it by land up to vientiane, through to hanoi by bus, all the way down to HCMC by train then to SNV where it was stolen by a fellow backpacker...

This or a drum stick is good self defence against wild dogs which i was continually confronted by in Kampot, SNV -Otres route, otres village, Bangkok back streets, around provincial thai bus stations.

job just as effective if sprayed into the eyes, and they can be bought at any 7/11 or supermarket. Dont believe me,,, put some chlorine or even lemon juice in one of these spray bottle and test it in your self, or your neighbor's dog.

I doubt if any of them are illegal to carry around.

could say the same about almost any product not being the only way
those cleaning products for example can be replaced with vinegar
its not required to call other brainwashed over it
convenience counts too

cant tell if this forum is that monty python sketch of the "room for an argument" or just too much boredom in the sun

I’ve got a cute diamanté studded blue taser, it looks like a perfume atomiser, bought at central market for about $6 I think.

there is a huge unserviced market for geezer handcrafted walking sticks with electrodes in the business end.
the cattle prod specs would certainly make an attacker desist
and a good long stick is effective by itself

I have an ASP baton i brought in from South Africa that I carry everywhere. I’ve only seen cheap crappy ones available for sale here.
The police (criminal, traffic, military) here have had no issue with me carrying it...

Cheers
