it is a must have. if you don't have, you have to buy a covid-insurance "online" at check-in in Phnom Penh airport.

I'm trying to travel to the US on the Korean Air flight that departs from Phnom Penh at 23:40.

The US Embassy website says that : "Effective December 6, 2021, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older, regardless of vaccination status or citizenship, must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one calendar day of travel."

I guess one of the previous testing centers mentioned, especially the national testing center where you can get tested in the afternoon and pick up the following day is the closest option. It seems to be cutting it pretty close as the flight leaves at 23:40 (only 20 minutes before midnight) and the US deadline is based on one calendar day before.

Has anyone had experience with something like this or taken that Korean Air flight?

You can have a Rapid Antigen Test for travel to the US via Korea on Korean Air, there was a CEO Member who did it 2 days ago. RAT at Central Hospital, $30, results back in up to 30 minutes.

OK, so you don't need a PCT test to fly to the US? A RAT is sufficient? Did you hear back from the American that you mentioned that they were successful?

This is a big deal to avoid missing your flight and the airlines are notorious now for being hard to get ahold of... although Korean Air is better than most.

However, I always advise people to check directly with the airlines to confirm what criteria they are applying, never trust the word of some random stranger on the interwebs

OK, thanks PSD-Kiwi, it is confusing with all of these different tests. I guess the reason why the four clinics are officially authorized is that they are authorized specifically for the PCR test, whereas CDC accepts other tests as well such as the Antigen Rapid Test.

It looks like there are many good options available now!

I used Pasteur Institute which went well but it is a little bit crowded and had to wait to start the test.

If others have confidence in the other places they could probably save time by going there.

I was at Pasteur on Apr 18 for PCR-test, everything went well and swift about 20 minutes in and out. I got the negative cert the next morning (0.800) the charge was $80.
