Got this from THAI:Chuck Borris wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 12:53 pmDo you know any online insurance you can book online for transit in Bangkok airport? Thanks.the other swiss wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 3:35 pm "covid-insurance for thailand, you need that also just for transit in the airport and most people dont know it !! "
it is a must have. if you don't have, you have to buy a covid-insurance "online" at check-in in Phnom Penh airport.
you also need a negative pcr-test!! even if you only transit Bangkok (at least I did on February 1.).
I travelled phn - bkk - dubai - switzerland
Dear Passenger,
Please be kindly informed that passengers can transfer at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport between international flights booked on the same ticket, when the transit time does not exceed 24 hours. Passengers must not leave the transiting area and are not able to enter Thailand. If the flights are booked separately, the baggage cannot be checked through.
Please note that all required documents, including those in digital format, must be printed to be presented at check-in and to the relevant immigration authorities:
1. COVID test by RT-PCR method with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected, issued within 72 hours before departure
OR
A certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 for more than 14 days before the travel date, with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization or the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand
2. Travel health insurance policy (worldwide or including Thailand) covering health care and treatment expenses for COVID-19, for no less than 50,000 USD. Please print the insurance certificate and all pages of the terms and conditions on the COVID coverage and medical benefits (passengers may be refused boarding if they can not show that their insurance meets these requirements)
However, we regret to inform you that the airline cannot confirm you about the entry requirements according to our terms and conditions. It is passenger responsibility to check the requirement prior to your departure with Embassy or other related governmental units.
You may fundamentally check the requirements on https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php

Re: Swab test before leaving Cambodia?
I'm trying to travel to the US on the Korean Air flight that departs from Phnom Penh at 23:40.
The US Embassy website says that : "Effective December 6, 2021, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older, regardless of vaccination status or citizenship, must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within one calendar day of travel."
I guess one of the previous testing centers mentioned, especially the national testing center where you can get tested in the afternoon and pick up the following day is the closest option. It seems to be cutting it pretty close as the flight leaves at 23:40 (only 20 minutes before midnight) and the US deadline is based on one calendar day before.
Has anyone had experience with something like this or taken that Korean Air flight?

You can have a Rapid Antigen Test for travel to the US via Korea on Korean Air, there was a CEO Member who did it 2 days ago. RAT at Central Hospital, $30, results back in up to 30 minutes.daeum_tnaot wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 4:26 pm I'm trying to travel to the US on the Korean Air flight that departs from Phnom Penh at 23:40.

Re: Swab test before leaving Cambodia?
OK, so you don't need a PCT test to fly to the US? A RAT is sufficient? Did you hear back from the American that you mentioned that they were successful?PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 10:27 pmYou can have a Rapid Antigen Test for travel to the US via Korea on Korean Air, there was a CEO Member who did it 2 days ago. This is a big deal to avoid missing your flight and the airlines are notorious now for being hard to get ahold of... although Korean Air is better than most.
Re: Swab test before leaving Cambodia?
@daeum_tnaot yes they made it to the US successfully, which is why I posted about it.
However, I always advise people to check directly with the airlines to confirm what criteria they are applying, never trust the word of some random stranger on the interwebs
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for travel to the USA.
Description:
All travelers regardless of their vaccination status must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, SDA, CRISPR, or Antigen: Rapid, Viral, Antigen Chromatographic Digital Immunoassay, Antigen Chemiluminescence Immunoassay, or Antigen Lateral Flow Fluorescence).
The test must be taken a maximum of 1 day before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary (if a flight is at 1 pm on a Friday, travelers could board with a COVID-19 negative test that was taken any time on the prior Thursday).
Test results must include the traveler's full name and at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number. The test must also clearly state that the results are "negative," SARS-CoV-2 RNA not detected," SARS-CoV-2 antigen not detected," or "COVID-19 not detected." A test marked "invalid" is not acceptable.
This requirement applies to all travelers, including US citizens, residents, and transit travelers.
Travelers may use a self-testing (sometimes referred to as a home test) procedure that must include a telehealth service that provides real-time supervision remotely through an audio and video connection. The test must meet the requirements of the CDC.
For more details, please see the source. Some US states might have more strict rules regarding COVID-19 test types and where they must be administered. Please carefully review the rules before traveling to each state.
Details and exemptions:
This requirement does not apply to:
-Travelers under the age of 2;
-United States military personnel traveling under official United States government travel orders;
-Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19, as long as they present a positive COVID-19 test result taken a maximum of 90 days from arrival, and a letter from their healthcare provider or public health official stating they are cleared for travel. The positive test must have been taken no earlier than 10 full days before arrival.
However, I always advise people to check directly with the airlines to confirm what criteria they are applying, never trust the word of some random stranger on the interwebs

Re: Swab test before leaving Cambodia?
OK, thanks PSD-Kiwi, it is confusing with all of these different tests. I guess the reason why the four clinics are officially authorized is that they are authorized specifically for the PCR test, whereas CDC accepts other tests as well such as the Antigen Rapid Test.PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 12:03 am @daeum_tnaot yes they made it to the US successfully, which is why I posted about it.

Re: Swab test before leaving Cambodia?
I used Pasteur Institute which went well but it is a little bit crowded and had to wait to start the test.
If others have confidence in the other places they could probably save time by going there.

I was at Pasteur on Apr 18 for PCR-test, everything went well and swift about 20 minutes in and out. I got the negative cert the next morning (0.800) the charge was $80.daeum_tnaot wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:32 pm I used Pasteur Institute which went well but it is a little bit crowded and had to wait to start the test.
