Re: Son missing in Cambodia. Do you know Vince Weatherall?
I find it odd that one would take the time to upload an avatar after making 3 posts only whilst your son is missing. I have been on the forum over a year and not felt the urge to portray my inner self with an avatar.
If his account was accessed by ATM ( and how else could it be ) the police would Know the location surely. Most mothers have a photo of their child, maybe not the most recent one but a 5 year old picture beats waiting for a friend to get one for you.

Let's avoid posting derogatory and unhelpful posts on this thread, just for once. Go over and post on the piggybank thread to make rude comments. Edited twice to eliminate language and attempt to be a bit more courteous on this worried woman's thread.
As long as I'm here, to worried mom: son has you blocked on FB, so you can't see his photos. That speaks volumes. He's doing something he doesn't want you to now about.

Just as an FYI, when people sign up on CEO through Tapatalk/social media, it automatically brings their avatar over with them, so I highly doubt she set it up through our site.Anthony's Weiner wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:54 pm I find it odd that one would take the time to upload an avatar after making 3 posts only whilst your son is missing.

Does your alleged son have the woodsman beard or a relatively clean shave these days?
Also, there isn't a kiwi embassy in Cambodia.

Correct, but if you read the OP the son went to the British Embassy for assistance, as Kiwis are entitled to. The British Embassy then liases with the NZ Embassy in Bangkok.

he should not have been able to open a Cambodian bank account without a business visa and a lease. Acleda and ABA were very strict on that a couple of years ago. Microfinance is not so tough but mostly they cannot receive foreign transfers direct, so how did he get a bank account to send the money to. I think what the parent means is they put money into his NZ bank account whcih the NZ police could check and it is that that got wiped out by someone using his ATM card, in which case he could have been robbed or the overstay issues might have been a ruse to get some money out of his parent for other reasons. not much anyon can do without a photo.

He was on overstay ( or so we are told) and mom sent him the $$ to pay the fine at which point he would have had to LEAVE Cambodia.
I'd say he went to Thailand, so if he accessed his bank, from where?? Surely the "police" that accessed his account before could see.
How were the NZ police able to access his account ? Did he give them access?
Why are the police even involved?
to many questions/riddles.
