Sinovac side effects

Post by chiltern »

A Khmer friends 14 year old son developed a skin allergy shortly after his first dose of Sinovac and this has continued with the second dose. She is convinced that the vaccine is the culprit saying other people are reporting the same although I can find no evidence of this on line.

Has anybody come across this or is it as I suspect just the normal market rumor mill in action.

Sinovac and Sinopharm are well known for being the vaccines with the least side effects. So much so that many in S. Korea refused to have the vaccine and preferred to wait several weeks until one of those were available.

There will always be the odd person who has a bad reaction to anything. There are people genuinely allergic to fresh air.

It is a relatively common side effect of cold and flu and I guess covid jabs

Here's the CDC guidance:

A sibling of mine had a severe reaction to her 1st jab (not sinovac) that put her in the ICU and hospital for weeks, but she recovered and got vaccinated with a different jab some months later

I was thinking of asking the same question, on reading a few articles of late.

Is that a joke? The joke being that the side effect is losing the ability to use correct grammar?

All I know is my Khmer coworkers refuse to get the booster due to the 3-7 days of hell they felt after getting their original shots

"Countries relying on one of China's Covid vaccines should get booster jabs because it only cuts the risk of infection by 50%, study claims
A study in Peru found Sinopharm to be 50.4% effective against Covid infections
Earlier estimates had put the efficacy level as high as 78.1 per cent
Researchers said recipients should be boosted with Pfizer or AstraZeneca"

I had 2 sinophram shots
Got my az booster yesterday, had a terrible headache that started after about 16 hours that lasted over 12 hours

Pure hypochondria and melodrama. Most people I know here got Sinovac and none complained about side effects.
