Sihanoukville Vs Siem Reap?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

If you had to live in either SHV or SR, with no other choices, which one would you choose?

Both places can damage you equally.

I prefer Battambang, not too many tourist to annoy you and enough expats to have a beer and chat with...

To answer my own question months later... sihanoukville is a no. The islands are amazing but just for a little visit.

Siem reap was alright, but everyone who said Phnom Penh I agree with, there's more blatant poverty there but apart from that, seems like the best choice of the three, easily. Haven't been to any other cities tho...curious about battambang, maybe I'll check it out

I think that if not living in a quiet country side city, it's not worth living far from the beach...

What is a "quiet country side city"?
Silence, exile, and cunning.

I like side cities.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

I like side salads.
Water quenches the thirst, alcohol releases the truth.
