Sailorman wrote:How many times can you look at a pile of rocks, no matter how wonderful they are? On the other hand the ocean, beach's and islands give you a never ending variety. You have a sunny day a rock just sets there and gets hot, The ocean water turns blue, the beach white and the water wonderful to swim in. You have a storm and the rock gets wet, on the other hand the ocean provides endless storm entertainment. Rocks provide no food, oceans/beach's provide fish, crabs, squid, prawns, etc. Angkor Wat was wonderful for about two days, after that I got bored.
Plus the fact that you have to pay $20 to go see those rocks. Not sure if there is some discount for people that decide to live there though. I would much rather live on the beach if those were my only choices.

In SR you get a dorm for 5$ where as in SNV you will get a single room with fan for 5$
SNV has a more sketchy drugged out pissed up vibe, Lot of viet/khmer hookers looking to rob foreigners.
Combine the two and you will wake up with a phone/wallet/cash gone.

Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Internet connection is much better in those than in SHV or Kampot etc. Also Phnom Penh has more digital nomads, coffee shops and co-working spaces. Also local startup/tech scene is growing fast in PP. So in end I would say Phnom Penh.mali246 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 7:45 pmWhat about the best place in the country for 30 year old non sketchy digital nomads?Beerinthemorning wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 3:55 amPrice in both places are both very livable, SNV more for poker dudes, happy hours, pool and hookers.mali246 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 1:41 am g'day

AngkorHUB but i dunno.
Honestly Digital nomads all seem kinda douchey.
Re: Sihanoukville Vs Siem Reap?
If you plan to live a normal life, Siem Reap is a better fit. If you want to get drunk and go whoring every night, then go to Kompong Saum.
