Siem Reap - Alternative Activites

Post by EdinWigan » Sat Jun 21, 2014 4:06 pm

Siem Reap - Alternative Activites.

I was wondering if there are any ex-pat clubs/groups in Siem Reap. Cycling, Chess, Walking, Cooking etc...

Alternative to just the pub, although it will also have a part to play, lol

Or any ideas for clubs etc... that are not formed yet.

Or in Snooky

Thanks

well, before the rain floods everything, the best thing I did in Siem reap was rent one of those Giant Mountain Bikes for 3$ for the day. I just followed the river all the way out to the big lake there ( Tonle Sap Lake?)

Takes you right through some villages. Just relax and stop for a few beers along the way. 420 friendly route for sure.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...

Off the top of my head, I'd suggest joining the Siem Reap social club, they plan regular activities that are open for all. There are regular pub quizzes and music quizzes at Rosy Guesthouse and Molly Malone's, there is a new monthly comedy night starting tonight, a book group, Hash House Harriers (running/walking/drinking group)...

You'll have better luck asking on the Siem Reap expats group on Facebook, most people on this forum seem to be based in Phnom Penh.
