Rooms on Wat Bo Road
I was watching this YouTube channel (Dave Does Cambodia) and he was saying you can get rooms for $150-200.
Are they plentiful?
I would rather spend an extra $100 per month on air con to escape heat so cheaper room would be great if they exists.
I’m just coming to work for x months so wouldn’t mind working 10 hours per day in air con.
Anyone seen any of these rooms before?

Dave Does Cambodia is awesome! He has a cool channel that I watch regularly. At least 3 people should subscribe right now so that he gets to 1,000 subscribers. Here's his latest apartment video:

Re: Rooms on Wat Bo Road
I think you are better for the more detailed questions on Siem Reap to look at the dedicated FB groups, especially for cheap property. Yes there is a wide range of property for various prices sb $200 in Siem Reap.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 4:17 pm I was watching this YouTube channel (Dave Does Cambodia) and he was saying you can get rooms for $150-200.

Re: Rooms on Wat Bo Road
A buddy of mine looked at a few with these guys around that price http://www.a1-realestate.com/ they had places with little gardens, ones with nice river views etc all with wifi and aircon and sub $200. Not sure what exactly you are after or why you specifically want Wat Bo. To my knowledge, everyone says Wat bo as that's all they hear off people. Wat Bo is nothing special aside from it being kinda conveniently located away from the main tourist drag, but just has a bunch of crappy shops and a couple of cafes on a busy road. Wat Damnak is much nicer but that said nothing is really 20 mins from anywhere on a bicycle. You can walk from the top side of Royal Gardens all the way to Wat Damnak via Pub street in about 15 mins. So don't feel the need to go where everyone says. There are some great places just away from the city especially on the river to the lake that are nice and quiet, which i'd guess would be a key reason for anyone to move to Siem Reap.
Re: Rooms on Wat Bo Road
Yeah those $200-300 rooms sucked. You want nice, go $500 and negotiate them down. I have 125 sqm 500 meters from Pub street in a quiet area in an elevator building.JUDGEDREDD wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 11:41 amCan you elaborateWildA wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 7:53 am:ast month I looked at a bunch of those $200 rooms. I know they won't be anything special and I'm not expecting much.angkorjohn2 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 3:25 pm A buddy of mine looked at a few with these guys around that price http://www.a1-realestate.com/ they had places with little gardens, ones with nice river views etc all with wifi and aircon and sub $200. I just need a room I can work in 10 hours per day, so the air con is almost essential. I need a bed, air con, desk, and chair.
When I'm not working I will go to the gym and hopefullly have a tiny kitchen to make Thai curry.
I'll probably have enough for a $500 room within 3-4 months anyway. Touch wood.
Wat Bo is good because I like a gym close by.

I know what you say is correct, but like I said it's work, gym, eat, sleep for up to 12 months.WildA wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 5:22 pmYeah those $200-300 rooms sucked. Maybe I little day at a swimming pool on a Saturday if anyone has any suggestions on the ones where you can pay some money or buy drinks.

I'm quite a basic bitch so I'm certain I'd be happy with less than most tbh.
Either that or Kampot, jampot.
