This isn't Kansas anymore?
Why would people who have never been to Kansas use this reference when telling someone not to bring their 5 cats to Cambodia?
I had a cat named Gizzie for 13 years in Kansas.
He hunted rodents and would trade me a mouse for some canned food by placing the carcass in her cat bowl...She also left a dead rabbit on my front step scaring the living shit out of the mailman..and I did not get my mail that day.
Gizzie was a city cat in Kansas.
I am at present, sitting in Kansas, missing Christmas in Siem Reap because my mom died on Thanksgiving forcing me to return to handle her affairs.
I am in the country where cats are not kitties to be fed salmon or liver...THEY WORK FOR A LIVING.
The pack rats will eat your wiring in your vehicles and several outdoor cats are a must.
They don't come inside..they rough it.
Toss in the city folks who dump them a few miles outside of town and you have herds of feral critters roaming the land of Oz. Local sharpshooters love to zero in their scopes for deer season on these pests while others who have a touch of cabin fever end up with 100 of them in their yards.
Cambodia does not have packs of coyotes that become brazen as the sunsets on toto's ass and they have a keen taste for cat meat and dog meat to rival any Khmer Srai whisky peddler.
So, please come up with a new phrase when warning folks about moving to KOW.
We have open carry gun laws and you no longer even need a conceal carry permit for conceal carry.
I think I will do some target practice for Christmas this year.

My neighbor Clint has about 50 cats a half mile down Tomahawk Road you could shelter them at.
I had about 20 coyotes outside my window last night hooping it up.
This aint Kansas anymore indeed.

Hi Lighthouse, you might also look for Pagoda Cats on FB. They are based in Siem Reap but the lady that runs it, Josette, might have a pretty good idea.

Apart from that, I have had cats in Cambodia for years, two of them brought in from abroad. Contrary to some posters, they have not been eaten, attacked by feral cats, or run over.

Where do i buy cat liter?
my apt smells, how do i get rid of the order?
My landlord wants me to leave cause the cats are making a mess?
