Receiving a parcel from the UK

Post by ManicManc »

Hey everyone, apologies in advance if this subject has been covered elsewhere! I did have a look but could only find a thread from 2014.

I'm looking to get a package sent over to me from the UK. Nothing too expensive, an old Iphone 6 and some sport's equipment.

I've read that sometimes electronics can be scanned for and then you have to pay a high duty tax. Anyone have any experience with sending over phones?

Any recommendations for services to use and the best way to go about this would be awesome! :beer3:

DHL is always a safe bet, but they ain't too cheap. Maybe others have a better suggestion, as I'm a yank and haven't ever had anything shipped from the UK, but DHL has a good reputation of getting your items here.
