Re: 2 questions for cambodia airport
It gets stamped the same day the following month, so if you arrive the 15th Sept it will be stamped 15th Oct. I'm not sure what they do for February. It'll cost you $10 a day overstay but if it's just one day I'd wait for them to ask you for cash. Play it dumb and you might just get away with it. Money changers are usually your best bet, especially for small amounts, look for glass cabinets of cash near markets.whereami wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 6:54 pm does your 30 days on arrival visa include initial day stamped or calendar month ? i.e. sep 15 stamp good untill oct 15 or including all day oct 15 to depart cambodia without penalty ) ? ......where is best place in phnom penh to buy baht for thailand , conversion rate wise ? i dont might losing small amount vig for added convenience to have local currency on me when i arrive......thank you !

Re: 2 questions for cambodia airport
Having worked in a few countries at airports in security and visa capacities I would not recommend booking tickets or attempting to travel on the last day of a visa. There are so many variables , illness, flight cancellation, weather issues etc that may delay departure. Even if you are in the departure lounge and a flight is cancelled at the gate you will be ushered back inside airport through customs. At this time your visa (single entry) has been used and a new visa will need to be issued. They will not be cheap as you have no choice but to pay.
