Doesnt have a Decent job, Speaks poor English, but has plenty of money to lend you $20, dish out $5 to beggers and ride Tuk Tuks...

from personal knowledge/experience, id say your girl already has some guy giving her money, whether its a khmer, expat or sponsor...

Khmer girls are good actors to those who dont know any better ie. you,

playing dumb is one of the easiest roles to act, and all that will do is fuel your white knight tendencies

due to the stereotypical naive way you come across it rings every ones troll alarms, if you are not, you should take a rain check

good luck
Arghhh. I know it all sounds crazy and that's what I said in my very first post. I didn't mean to talk about it. I just wanted to know if the post was reliable. And I know that most instances like these are scams or situations that end badly. But most things with her are definitely real. The $20 she leant me was actually $20 that I gave her as a tip. But then I didn't have cash to pay my bill and she returned the tip voluntarily. I jumped in a tuk tuk and went to the bank for cash, but she had gone home by the time i returned. So i went back the next day and gave her the money back. So it's not that she had $20 from another source.

So there are explanations for the thing you raise - has plenty of money to lend you $20, dish out $5 to beggers and ride Tuk Tuks - and i explained two of them before u repeated them.

Of course this will go nowhere, but it's fun in the meantime. We were on a video call last night and her dad came to her door. Funny how he turned up for the first time that i know of on the same day that she got money from Western Union. She usually visits him every day or so. I've been telling her not to tell anyone she has money but I can tell already its just going to flow right out of her hands into the hands of her dad and others and that will bring things to a pretty fast halt. I'm not funding anyone but her.

I don't mind you having a laugh because u have all seen idiots (just like me) get into these situations over and over. The thing that is bugging me is the troll thing. Why would anyone make this up.

I'll try to shut up now, but i do agree with most of what you say. It is stupid to get involved like I have. But the money involved is small and its fun.

Haha. ok. I'm new to the site so I didn't know. I just couldn't work out why anyone would bother to make this stuff up. If anything, it makes me look like a fool. If i was making stuff up i'd try to make myself look good. If i was you I would be thinking exactly the same way as you - that I'm another sucker about to be taken for a ride. I actually ended it for a day and then had a think about it and thought I'd make it a project and see if i could help. Time will tell. At least it will keep you amused.

Ill let u know if the parcel turns up - thats my first world problem.

Yup. I was done hook, line and sinker. Now I'm a 31 year old single dad of 2.

Would not change it for the world though, my daughters are the best thing that ever happened to me.
