LoL, you couldn't survive here if you're life depended on it.

Forgive me for wanting to travel all over the globe, and land a kickass teaching job over here while I do.

Besides, I choose to travel and teach; do you have that choice, or are you forever stuck in Cambodia?

You're best bet, if it has to be in Phnom Penh, is to go with LanguageCorp.

You're the one recommending courses in Cambodia to people that don't come anywhere near a CELTA or even a decent TEFL in Thailand. Why?

Um, because it answers their exact question. I make it pretty obvious I would ONLY do that if it must be in Phnom Penh. You need to up your reading comprehension, for realz (now feel free to point out my grammar and spelling mistakes, I left a few for you). Image

Also, I think that KHarding is an American national. ACE is NOT known for hiring US citizens. Australians and sometimes English only.

Some TEFL/TESOL courses are also rigorous, but I believe Cambridge has an agenda in persuading many organisations to only hire CELTA holders, and part of this strategy is to fail a quota to create a false sense of value.

If you cannot see the monetary implications thereof, and do not question the ethics, you're naive.
Good point on the content and marketing .

Just wanna let you guys know that you are all RANTING now ;-) Not helping the discussion :) And it makes it difficult for people to sift through when they're trying to figure out what is going on in your conversation/trying to find the answer to the original question. Sounds like ya'll should get together over some beers and chum it up :)

Do the CELTA. Everyone agrees it's number one.

I agree, DO the CELTA !!! The TEFL is worth nothing (well, mostly). And HEY !!!!.....many times you neither need a or b. It's still Cambodia.

Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser

Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist
