Can I open bank account in Thailand without moving there? I know I can in Cambodia, but have to be there in person.
not easy on a tourist visa, ( nearly impossible nowadays) , lots of discussions recently, Usually u need a long term visa/extension and or wp

not true at all, sometimes u need a certificate of residency, but nowhere requires a note from ur embassy

No need for VPN to access your PayPal account from Cambodia.

Please note once you received over a certain amount of money in your PayPal account PayPal will start asking for documentation to prevent money laundering.
I asked customer service here in Europe. I can use my European Paypal all over Europe but if i move to Cambodia they will know due to the used IP address and block it till I send proof of address in Europe. If I move to Cambodia they want me to use an Cambodian Paypal account. You can use this for send and recieve money, but you can not transfer recieved money to a Cambodian bank account at this moment.

Therefor I will keep my Dutch Paypal account linked with my ING account and use N26 to transfer money and use it as mastercard. For my Freelance work I am considering a Bulgarian LTD. This has full VAT registration and low costs and tax rates.

You can’t receive payment with a Cambodian PayPal account. You can only pay for things

The only way that I have been able to use my American Paypal account here in Cambodia is through a VPN.
