Paypal in Cambodia

Post by Francis »

Simple question: If you have a Paypal account and you are living in Cambodia........how can you get cash ???
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

It's a bit messy but it will work. First you need to buy virtual currency for the virtual reality simulation second life. These are called Second Life Lindens. You can buy these with PayPal. You can then trade these for Bitcoins. Cashing Bitcoins isn't very hard, another forum has a sponsor doing it but in a country like Cambodia I'm sure it's not hard to find someone offering a better rate.

Thanx for the info. Indeed, it's messy. I don't think that I got the nerves to go through all of that.

I actually looked into it a while ago. Sadly it's the easiest (without dealing with banks) way to turn PayPal balances to bitcoin.

So, only 3 exchange rates and two dubious virtual currencies to worry about. What could possibly go wrong?

because it doesnt work, frank le bent.

your paypal account country must be the same as your bank account country.

exception, perhaps, is for US bank accounts, which you can (i think) add to other countries paypal-accounts.

if you have no cambodian bank account, you cant have a paypal account.
and if you have both, then im not sure, if its a "normal" paypal account, as apparently restrictions apply (to whom you can transfer money, receive money etc.)

im wondering, where this shit comes from.

I didn't recommend it. I just answered the question.

paypal won't like with cambodian accounts. you have to link it to your home country account using an address there. or just get one of their snazzy ATM cards and pull it out from wherever.
