Can't speak for Sihanouville but there is a Wing outlet on pretty much every street in Phnom Penh. Just look for the green sign & logo I posted above.

EDC have a few offices around town as well as the one on 19 near the Post office mentioned. There's one off 271 near the junction with 2004, and another one on NR 2 at Chak Ankgre.

So you live in SHK but your landlord lives in PP right? Simple, get your landlords bank acct details and deposit into his account on rent day each month, if you have online banking with ABA then even better as you wont even need to leave your apartment to do so.

In case you don't know, the EDC office is at the back of the Post Office in Daun Penh.
Afa paying your rent goes, my landlord just comes over each month to pick it up.
The banks don't do do inter transfers electronically here yet I don't think. When I worked at one of the 'universities' here, they paid my money through CPB, but the uni had to go down there with the paper records each month. Lol.

And what about the agent? Surely he will take his cut. Isn't it normal for the Tennant to pay the agent then the agent to pay the landlord?

Maybe thats what I am supposed to do. I could have sworn he said something about putting the money into the landlords account through their bank account so Im not totaly sure. I am just gonna need to talk to my agent.

If you're in SNVL, the EDC office is near the port. If you drive to Victory Hill along the main road from town, you just follow it till you get to the bottom of the hill after passing Victory, the end of the road in fact. Turn right, and it's just along on your right. There is a little office that everyone pays their bills at just out side the large steel bar front gate.just ask" EDC, EDC", that should do it if you get lost. There are always a bunch of people and Moto's outside. Go early in the morning as they shut fairly early iirc.

If you've got the EDC bill, you're expected to pay it, by the way - and count your blessings if you're getting it, it means the landlord is not ripping you off (on this, at least).

Juansweetpotato... Not sure what movie you're referring to, so most likely haven't seen it yet. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (WTF) was good though, and fairly accurate, not as good as the book the movie was based on though.

OP... Apologies for straying off topic, may as well get to used to it though because it happens more often than not

P.S. If you're getting your EDC bill direct then that's good news for you,as you'll be paying the official rate, not the landlords jacked up rate.

Wing -- the fastest and easiest way to pay bills. Much easier than sitting in the bank.

Not so easy when you have no contact information to the landlord, everything was done through rental agent. Their is a woman in my neighborhood who is a liaison but speaks zero English. I suppose the real question is why would the landlord just give me their account number. Isn't that a lot of information to give someone. Or does it work differently in Cambodia.

I have only lived here for two months and learning as I go, so I appreciate that you slapped yourself in the face for me.

Everyone else I really do appreciate your help.
