Passport and ID Being Held
Hi all,
My fiancee's Passport and ID/Family Book are being held by her mother in Kampong Cham and she is refusing to give them to her. What legal recourse does my fiancee have knowing that her mother does in fact have both her ID and Passport? Police escort to go and retrieve it or is that out of the question?
TIA, any help is appreciated.

Held for what reason? Your finance's family book, or her mother's?
Police could be paid to assist if the rest of the family aren't willing to. I imagine that would sour your finance's relationship with her mother, but it sounds like it may already be pretty sour.

$40 for a new ID, $170 to then get the passport. My wife just lost both of them.

If I remember well the family book is needed for the passport, plus the birth certificate. If those are with mum....cptrelentless wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:56 pm $40 for a new ID, $170 to then get the passport. My wife just lost both of them.
