UK to Phnom Penh Parcels?

Post by Doc67 »

Are there any small parcels getting into Cambodia?

Does anyone know how long a small parcel, about the size of a shoe box, will take from the UK to the Post Office in Wat Phnom?

I was going to use Parcelforce worldwide, the cost for a 300mm x 150mm x 150mm and weighing 5 kilos is a very reasonable £40.

They are quoting 3+ day delivery which appears to mean 3 days but that "+ " could mean 90 days!

Anyone had any experience of this during Covid-19 times?

My only parcel coming from standard "post" this year didn't arrive (from the USPS though). Anything else via DHL/FedEx arriving perfectly well.

I dont have experience from UK but I have from China and from USA in the past few weeks. Delivery time by registered post from China which was sent via Singapore is around 7 weeks. This has been fairly consistent across several small packages. My package from USA never arrived at all - whether due to the US Post Office slow down or other causes I do not know. Basically mail delivery is back to pre-19th century times (although it may have been quicker then).
I believe DHL might be able to do it faster but have not tried.

I received a debit card from the UK recently. Items from China and Singapore also arriving. PO tells me still no incoming mail from Australia or USA though. I can ask at the parcels counter about UK when I go tomorrow, if you like.

I had a parcel sent by regular post from UK on 22 September and delivered to my office on 2 October. I use the Royal Mail option that requires a signature on delivery to make sure that it gets here. I’ve got another one on the way....

That's interesting. Perhaps parcels guy was wrong? As I said earlier I did receive a bank card from the UK. I wish my two cards would arrive from Australia though.

To your office? They came out from the Post Office here and delivered it? I thought you had to collect from the office on street 102?
