Options for renewing visas

Post by Frisket77 »

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice regarding renewing mine and my gf's Cambodian visa's and I couldn't find anything helpful on the forum search.

Our visa's expire next week but we want to stay in Cambodia untill December then possibly return early next year. We've seen a couple options that are pretty expensive and some others sound down right dodgy. So we are looking for some advice/suggestions from the forum.

Thanks in advance!

Your gf dont need a visa shes a cambodian.

If you cannot fork out the 3 price for a three monther maybe you should be questioning why you are even in the kingdom .

My girlfriend isn't Cambodian, we're both South African and with everything priced in USD that works out pretty expensive for us. (And I'm sure for all other travelers not earning USD/Pounds/Euros).

You leave in December and you will be back early next year....so you'll be gone 1,2,3 months?
Just buy 1 year visas. Less hassles and save passport pages.

Options for renewing visa's

As you want to stay 4 months and I believe a tourist visa can only be extended for 3, you will need to exit the country.

When you come back in get a normal (business) visa and then when that one is about to expire extend that for 3 months.

I could be wrong as I've never done this but it's an option.

Edited to correct the visa.

I can validate this .

Its the only logical manner to deal with the situation.

Leave the country via any check point reenter pay 35 usd plus 2 dollars then tick box business visa which you will extent for 3 months visa at any agency, the excess fees are just something you just pay and get it over and done with as cambodia immigration arent the nicest chaps .
