Notarial/Documentary services?

Post by Clutch Cargo »

Looks like I will have to get some copies of documents certified as true copies. Maybe also some others that have to be witnessed when signing.

My first thought was the Australian Embassy however looking at their Notarial services list 'Verifying and certifying a copy of a document or part of a document' is quoted @ USD56! Is that per page? https://cambodia.embassy.gov.au/penh/fees.html

I figure there has to be better value around. Apparently a local lawyer will suffice..as long as it's been properly certified in English and with presumably a stamp etc

Has anyone had to do this recently and know a place I can go to at a reasonable cost? Much appreciated any help.

Also, I used pyramid translation for a very low price and stamped verified translated khmer to English docs and my embassy accepts them, which is quite a lot cheaper than the Benson guy

$25 per document notarised last time I used him.

Or, if they are official Cambodian Govt administrative documents, you can get certified copies and translations directly from the MoFAIC for about 10,000 KHR each, but it takes longer.
