Thanks
Yes there is a law, will try and dig it out for you, but once again trying to have it enforced is another thing.

If it's too loud, you're too old?

If it's too loud when you get old you just take out your
hearing aid. Works for me.

Hello,

Here is the Sub-decree N° 42 on "Air Pollution, Noise Disturbance and Vibration" (MoE, 2000) :

http://sithi.org/admin/upload/law/Sub-d ... 0).ENG.pdf

Image

ANNEX 6
Maximum Standard of Noise Level Allowable in the Public and Residential Areas (dB(A))

Areas :
Commercial and Service Areas and Area of multiple business

Period of Times :
From 6AM through 18PM ---> 70 dB(A)

From 18PM through 22PM ---> 65 dB(A)

Form 22PM through 6AM ---> 50 dB(A)

This standard is applied to control of noise level of any source or activity that emitted noise into the public and residential areas.

Mr. Thiv Sophearith
Chief of Air Quality Noise and Vibration Office
Pollution Control Department
Ministry of Environment of Cambodia

I found a good application, sound level meter for IOS & Android, which seems serious and reliable, after having tested a dozen.

DECIBEL ULTRA (only the name is promising! Carefully read the instructions: button ?)
http://apkdeal.com/decibel-ultra-app-3- ... droid-ios/

I have a problem similar to yours but during the day. In my case, this is a mobile phone store that hosts promotional animators of leading Chinese brands in turn, each for three days, from 8:30 am to 5 pm: Oppo, Huawei, Viva .. and often without a day off, with debilitating and loud music all day and promos at the microphone. We clearly touch the bottom.

A new form of mental torture. Guantanamo must look like this !

I spoke to the owner of the shop, nothing changes. Sometimes, exhausted, I go down to the store and I cut the sound directly to the mixer, if they have not already done it, panicked, seeing me arrive like a zombie !

The whole neighborhood laughs, the motodops love, I make them the show of the day. And yet nothing helps. It continues, again and again ...

So I decided to change my strategy. I make a file. I note every day ON, I record the sound to have a trace and I measure the sound level that is sent to me by mail via DECIBEL ULTRA.

When I will estimate that I have enough items, I'll put this in the hands of my lawyer to be sure to choose the right angle of attack.

And who will live will see ... "Go, run, fly and avenge us ..."

Good luck to you !

P.S :
You can also adapt to this nuisance.
Live at night and sleep during the day !
