Medical Insurance Refused - existing condition
Re: Medical Insurance Refused - existing condition
In my eyes insurance comapnies want to make profit, it means all the clients pay for their cars, fancy buildings, and sports-club they sponsor. And if you are slightly older and slightly overweight (as i am) they consider you as a major risk and ask double or tripple money. For many years i dont pay any insurance, only the real compulsary-ones. Put money on the bank and hope nothing happens. If i drop dead tomorrow, bad luck, but wont feel it anymore. Its a gamble, but the chances to win are much bigger than any lottery in my eyes !! ??

Everyone wants to make a profit, everyone wants to get paid. Even I don’t work for free.Bongmab69 wrote:In my eyes insurance comapnies want to make profit, it means all the clients pay for their cars, fancy buildings, and sports-club they sponsor. There’s life insurance, which pays when you die, and health insurance, auto insurance, etc.
All of actuarial tables that determine risk percentages of something happening. This is then factored over the covered population (lots of math).
Health insurance is especially tricky. Health insurance companies DO go out of business when the math is wrong, and then everyone loses out.
Try a bigger company. A bigger pool of insured means people with conditions don’t impact it as much.
Sorry, and good luck.
Just my opinions, of course.
If I die, missus is well cared for.

Probably in Belgium and some other european countries, we are spoiled, because we have insurance which is included in our social security, subvencioned from the state. Its very cheap and works perfect, its similar as the Obama-care where so many americans are scared off !! ?? I pay like 500 euro a year included high-level-hospitalization. But its only for europe, if i come to KOW i need a special agree from them, and maximum 3 months a year. everything out of their "lines" is up to yourself !!

Your home national health service covers you for overseas travel???Bongmab69 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 2:29 pm Probably in Belgium and some other european countries, we are spoiled, because we have insurance which is included in our social security, subvencioned from the state. In the UK you can't even get treated for months or years. The notion that the NHS would cover you for international medical costs is laughable.

Yesyes, inside europe and turkey all year, and if you go overseas for max 3 months also, but you have to tell them when and where you go !!

I have already explained that I have signed a legally binding document not to disclose any information to protect the insurance company. What is there not to understand about this? Some people on these forums must have been double agent spies in a previous life. To answer previous questions - of course I have to pay a big gun - no such thing as a free lunch - legal fee factored into the settlement of course. As to the person who wants a screen shot of my bank account - meet me in the Elephant bar dear boy for a nice Bollinger. I will show you.

managed to negotiate an out of court settlement with the insurer following protracted legal intervention. A bank transfer of $27657.48 just hit my account. This includes a full year premium refund of $7657.48.
Whoops! Looks like you're in breach already.
How's that bank statement coming on?

What’s not to understand is why you started a thread regarding a subject that you keep reminding people that you can’t talk about, and then troll… oops, post irrelevant material about matters unrelated to the country, the forum in general, or the particular sub forum.Expatenglish wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 9:25 am I have already explained that I have signed a legally binding document not to disclose any information to protect the insurance company. Side note. December/Christmas period is often regarded as silly season, and it seems fora are no exception, with several sock-like entities signing up around the same period.
