Looking for moto repairs

Post by Imnotasiain »

I own a 2018 Honda pcx. Ended up eating dirt today. Busted up the plastic on the body pretty good. Where's a good repair shop that won't go overboard on the foreigner pricing where I can get a new body kit?

Dara Motorcycle Shop might be a good place to start. He has many western clients. Generally does off-road bike stuff, but may be able to point you in the right direction. You can easily find him on FB.

You can order the plastic yourself, they get it directly from Honda.

Bring the plastics to the shop and give them 50 bucks to change them.

I checked for a top case and it’s $800+ ImageImage

Top case? Not sure exactly what that is, maybe this https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source= ... 1741959881 If so this is aftermarket. I don't know a place in PP, but for the aftermarket stuff, Japan-Webike is good. Depending on what you order shipping might be high, but it is fast, 2-3 days. Usually I try to order a bunch of stuff to negate shipping fees.

I'd recommend either used plastics or if new plastics are sky-high in price, just buying another moto. IDK if your need is something Dara will want to mess with. 3 ways I'd do it:

I have no idea where you're located. if you're not too far from Toul Tum Pong, I'd recommend you go to a shop located on the corner of street 155 and 426 or 432. there's a big repair shop there with all kinds of plastics hanging down that you can see driving by. their prices are great and they can source what you do not need.

if you're not close to there, lots of moto parts shops are centered around Oreasey Market. I don't know the correct spelling but google maps will still pull the market up with that spelling.

Or start asking tuk-tuk drivers, they will guide you.
good luck
Still here, in country...

Have you looked at plastic fairing repairs on YouTube ?
As long as you have the pieces there is very little that can't be fixed by stitching, plastic welding and then then filling.
