Looking for exotic knife store in PP

I can't find any reference to a 'Khmer' owner.Ghostwriter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:09 pm As far as i know, the craftman (foreign) who started Citadel was fucked over by his associate, and had to leave.
Another fine example of talented people bringing new stuff , and then betrayed by a local partner.
I was twice in this shop, and never had the feeling that the employee cared about selling anything.
Dominic Eleure was the founder and still is the owner of Citadel.

You can find that particular style of knife in the military shops and also at Tuol Tompoung Market.
Here is the google maps of inside the market where you can look for the knife in question by zooming into the cabinets.

Citadel make and stock the genuine item if you want expensive and a collectors piece.

Christophe Hiriart was the craftsman. He opened his shop on street 240 and later on moved to Siem Reap. I recall he worked or he is working for Artisan D’Angkor, didn’t see him for some time.Mishmash wrote:I can't find any reference to a 'Khmer' owner.Ghostwriter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:09 pm As far as i know, the craftman (foreign) who started Citadel was fucked over by his associate, and had to leave.

Thanks for that info. I saw it was all started in 1997 by a group of French expats.
Is Ghostwriter correct and a Khmer took over Citadel?

The photo is of a fixed blade.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 9:02 pm So what's the prime purpose of this exotic karambit knife?
Doesn't look user friendly to chop up your onions...
I am looking for a folding blade.

Thanks for this info.
Can you tell me where the military shops are located?
Any near Riverside?
Tuol Tompoung , st 163, looks like a long tuk-tuk ride from riverside
In the google photo, all I see is watches in the cabinets, but there is a section of the display case on the lower right that is blocked out. mmmm
is this the fun stuff?

Re: Looking for exotic knife store in PP
It's not far from Riverside and about 5,000 riels if you use grab app.
I brought my Karambit here from home. However, from what I understand they are illegal and so is carrying a knife but I really do not know. Can someone shed some light on this that truly knows?
Thanks
