Not when he is my wife's favorite uncle and said "easy peasy khmouy, the guy in charge is my friend and have his office down the hall" only to be back a few days later with a "not possible anymore" facePSD-Kiwi wrote:No worries, always pays to conduct your own thorough due dilligence as opposed to trusting the word of a high up official who is most likely hoping for a nice donation towards their retirement/KTV fund.

this only means that your wife's uncle is not high enough in the payscale.Barang_doa_slae wrote:Not when he is my wife's favorite uncle and said "easy peasy khmouy, the guy in charge is my friend and have his office down the hall" only to be back a few days later with a "not possible anymore" face

Re: Legal Gun ownership?
Probably best to just carry one illegally and have some money to pay your way out of it if it's ever an issue.
What might that cost, you think?

It cost someone I knew $1500, and that was about 17 years ago when things were, to say the least, lax!General Mackevili wrote:Probably best to just carry one illegally and have some money to pay your way out of it if it's ever an issue.

I agree with that, a world of shit would await a foreigner found to carry one. Maybe only slightly less so if found inside his home.Kuroneko wrote:It cost someone I knew $1500, and that was about 17 years ago when things were, to say the least, lax!General Mackevili wrote:Probably best to just carry one illegally and have some money to pay your way out of it if it's ever an issue.

If you were caught packing heat you'd be in a world of shit. My guess is that would throw the book at you. Fines, jail time and deportation.

Re: Legal Gun ownership?
There was a French guy who robbed a bank with a Glock a few years ago. It was fucking ridiculous, he was drunk as a pig and had a broken arm, so he put the gun on the counter and forgot it, then almost knocked himself out walking into the glass doors. I think he got $60 or something. He told the judge he had gotten the gun in payment for fixing someone's car years before. I don't think he got charged for the gun, and only got a few years. He got out after maybe 3 and returned to France (voluntarily).
Silence, exile, and cunning.
