Landmarks and General stuff to do in Phnom Penh
I am enjoying my vacation a lot. And I am still looking for new and exciting stuff to do. I simply love Phnom Penh for its freshness and cleanliness.
I would dare say it is the most beautiful city in Cambodia. I mean there is no other city with this kind of architecture and style, is there?
Downtown here is just bustling with shops and modern buildings. It is pretty fantastic. I think this city was built at its foundations a couple of hundred years ago, although the core is much older. And I think it will continue to be a city of prosperity and welcoming tourism well into the future. I am not disappointed, let me tell you that.
Yet i crave for more. Indeed I want to see more of the city, of its surroundings, its nature and its habitat. Whatever piques my interest, i guess.
I guess I am looking for museums or general tours of the city that is not boring and not too expensive to do.
Thanks.

Cleanliness? The city is filthy. Garbage piles up in the street. It's only clean if you're from Naples.

I love Phnom Penh. However, it sounds like you're confusing it with Singapore or something. And you say it's the BEST city in Cambodia. That's true, because it's the ONLY city in Cambodia.
You should share some pics so we can see your point of view.

Honestly I didn’t bother reading after you said you like Phnom Penh for its cleanliness. This is a joke thread right? Haha you got us!

Depends where you are, there are plenty of rubbish free areas, where one can live and shop etc. The streets outside my condo on Chroy Changvar are fairly clean. Route 6A is relatively clean, and so are the shopping malls.
Before moving out to Chroy Changvar five years ago I lived on Riverside and then it was reasonably clean where I was.

It's just some copy & paste job:
I am enjoying my vacation a lot. And I am still looking for new and exciting stuff to do. I simply love Kuala Lumpur for its freshness and cleanliness.
I would dare say it is the most beautiful city in Malaysia. I mean there is no other city with this kind of architecture and style, is there?

Don't let them get through to you Geordie. Everything is relative and I doubt any of them have been to townships or even Jo'burg in SA.
Back in the 90s when we were setting up MTN, even at the best hotels you had to step over bodies or piles of trash to get to your car or taxi. Even the taxis were full of trash.
On the flip side, there were some beautiful and manicured towns Apart from Cape Town, Willowmore comes to mind as very clean.

What with all the trash piling up you would have thought i would have heard or seen something. Yet there has not been a speckle of rubbish to be seen anywhere where I am living.
If it is so unclean, I wonder why that is?

Or if you are so unhappy with the situation you can go to your nearest janitor and ask him yourself when it will start looking clean because every soi has there own cleaning routines.
Overall I am happy with my neighbourhood and I did not say everyones soi is looking clean. I never said that.
So I am sorry Mr. Because you are the joke yourself.

I know how Cintri garbage collection works. Do you know about their strikes the past years? The last time I think it was because they could no longer steal petrol after a shift.
I normally advice tourists to listen. Their speaking habits tend to make them immune to learning. People think they’re experts, calling places “sois” and such.
