My take is that those little buggers have had their survival test as to food already behind them. How no. 4 went through his fish showed he had done it before. Also the other diet tips are all fine but when I see how the alley cats search the trash each nite, I wonder whether that is a bit U.S. sub urban stile thinking. No offense, the input is valid. Just cambodia is so basic. I use a LOT of soap now and cleaning left and right almost all the time. With chicken I expect dose of salmonella as a freebie from the seller. Anyhow max. alert. Also resist the kissing efforts of no. 4. Wonder what he was in his previous incarnation, a lady boy or miss universe?

It's not US suburban style thinking. Just like humans some cats are born stronger and healthier than others. The weaker ones could die from the lack of proper nutrition and infections caused by eating rats and stuff like that. That's what the info given by vets says, and that's one of the reason street cats have such short life spans, they don't get proper nutrition, they become weak, they die as a result. If you don't trust basic veterinary knowledge given by professionals who do this for a living, and think it's some suburban US conspiracy theory, then I think you have a problem.

In Japan they get earthquake survival suits! :?

Image

Earthquake-prone Japan has a market for these suits that you strap onto your cats and dogs so that they can survive for days after a major earthquake. Each suit contains all of the necessary gear including water, biscuits, aromatherapy oils :? , and rubber foot pads, all contained in the pockets of a flame-resistant coat. Hope they provide them with tin openers.

No conspiracy at all. I just wanted to state that the kittens here go through much worse than eating raw meat. I do not question your input and I think I also said so. The sub-urban remark was perhaps not well placed but I meant to say that we might think too much given the basic surroundings. For conspiracy theories we have our trade marked experts, I cant compete in the league. peace.
edit: and of course thanks for the pointers and input. PP is new territory for me and this thread and the contributors are a great help.

the most recent domesticated carnivore arrived in our homes with cereal cultivation.
the only member of felidae not endangered and expanding it's range!
of fairly ancient lineage too.
the friendliness gene allows them to prosper.
they only meow at people- not each other- no coincidence, it sounds human and elicits a response from us.

a smart dog can understand about 120 human words, a cat- maybe 30.
but then, they don't really need to.

My late alpha female taught me about 20-25 sounds and was pretty clear about expressing her feelings. Was almost like a conversation. No. 4 is like that and tries to have a chat when we watch tv. Ah, and i started cooking the chicken..... Seems they get what they want and how they want it.

Perhaps I should start posting some photos to create interest in adoptions..... Could be the new CEO subforum the kittens' exchange.

How do they like it? Lightly sauteed in garlic butter with a slice of lemon on the side and a sprig of parsley? :D

I just chopped up thighs into little bits (cat only had three teeth)and she loved it. Better to buy early before it's been siting around in the heat. At least at Orussey they keep it on ice, unlike Old Market and Kandal Market.
