KHR change back USD phone cards

Post by brisie »

Small money not many left want to pay back in USD even though I paid in USD. Bought a phone card last night with a $5 got back 16k so I said when I come back and give you 4k for another $1 card are you going to sell it to me for that. She told me to fuck off.
If they're trying to de-dollarise the place to strengthen the economy wouldn't you think the first thing they'd do is force the phone companies to change to KHR?

This is one of the tensions related to taking $1 and $5 out of circulation. Even before this sellers would often try to overcharge for phone cards if bought in Khmer riel.

You can avoid this problem now by buying the 5,000 riel phone cards. Some sellers still have $1 phone cards but I guess they may go out of circulation eventually.

It depends on the seller though- just yesterday I bought two one dollar phone cards using one dollar bills. She indicated they are still taking $1 as normal.

Just get yourself a bank/PiPay/Wing account and top up straight from the phone.

No need to worry about the extra ៛200 or change then

Yeas , the phone is easy to pay by ABA
That and almost everywhere takes the ABA card I noticed in the big city these days .
I can pay almost everywhere I go and don’t have to fiddle with any money ,
... unless the cops catch me w/o my helmet on , and now that’s an even $15 or they let you pay in reil at strictly 4000/$1
It used to only be a buck if I even bothered to stop and pay them in sihanoukville

I would if you ( or i ) just wish you didn’t have to deal with the useless pieces of shit ..

.. and it’s great because most places now they set up for that ( ABA ) i can use credit card 💳 to pay also at burger king and most all the restaurants and that saves withdrawing money from ATM from usa to put into ABA . And some even give discounts for it !

Plastic is the way to go 👍🏼

I've got canada back account which would have to win the world's best fuck their customers around award every year straight. From what I heard it's a Chinese bank owned using the word canada as a prop.
Anyway back on subject talking to the old slapper after she calmed down from last night said she'll sell me cards for 4K.
I use Cellcard and top up with Wing but my ride uses metfone can't see any wing or ABA options with them.
