I ate different restuarants( on the street too). It might cost 8$x30= 240$ per month. Just for eating. But I enjoy staying there.

Lots of mumblers and the occasional shouter.
Sonja Kill Hospital there has a very good reputation despite the name.
Interesting, I thought it was kind of the other way round. Seeing as how Kampot is a sleepy town compared to SHV. At least when I last visited.

Is Kampot getting full of jacked up yaba yahoos running around screaming about snakes in their pants?

If I were to call anywhere in Cambodia hipster heaven, it would be Siem Reap, BKK1, Toul Sleng, Boueng Kak and TTP.
This I don't like reading. I'll have to ask my buddy about this, he's none too fond of the "dreadlocked" white kids, and neither am I. If so... Maybe Kep? I can't see doing SR - too dusty, too hot, but i need to spend more time there. I may have had a bad couple weeks there that I shouldn't base opinion upon. It was brutal there vs. Kampot when I last stayed.

So, if Kampot has been overrun since my last stay, does anyone have a suggestion for an area that's more like the older, sleepier Kampot (2012 - 2013)?

Kep is the only place I can think of... But most of you know the country better than myself. I didn't like SHV much.

I still going to test out Kampot, but if I see more than a couple backpacks a day... Probably will be moving along... Or at least be staying outside of town.

Thanks!
