HRT

Post by Luigi »

Are there any members using HRT? Where are you having your annual or semiannual blood work done? Costs? Using anything in addition to Test? Anyone found something other than Sustanon 250 in Cambo? How bout Thailand?

Thanks!

Been on HRT since pre 2000 . Started of on creams, then to pellets, but the last 5 years Rendron1000 injections. 6 months supply [ 3 vials ] costs about $12 subsidised by the nanny state of Qld . Dr and blood test free. Each vial fills a 100ml [ diabetic ] syringe and is injected every 2 weeks.

There is a place in Thailand but their costs are very high compared to what I pay.

I would suggest that before you even start to take anything, you get blood test done ,
Test total
Test free
E2
PSA
Plus many more,
Then try something like a anti estrogen tablet [ Provironum ] $15 / $18 for 50 tablets, in PP, before you start taking extra Testosterone. Remember , you could have plenty of test in you body, but it may be aromatising to a estrogen.
The whole subject on hormones is very complicated and a specialised profession and even the average doctor is hopeless on the subject.

yes, i formerly used the androgel/testogel - now i use the andriol caps.
locally available in shv too, and cheap.

not been here long enough to get tested yet.

made a huge difference to my life. i have lost 20 kg in 13 months just from the hrt.

as Duncan observes, it is not a bad idea to see an edocrinologist at least initially as there are some causes other than age for this condition.

they will likely crt your head for brain tumours.

Reandron is also known as Nebido in the USA but both products are undecanoate testosterone.

From memory,,,The big difference is with Testocaps, are taken orally and have to pass by the liver and broken down to be absorbed... or something to that effect, whereas Reandron is injected directly into the muscle and 100 % is available and you can build up a reserve amount in your body, whereas testosterone taken orally , if not absorbed it is excreted.

Testosterone (and other anabolic steroid) esters are not traditionally given orally, as the ester bond is easily cleaved (broken) by enzymes in the wall of the intestines, the liver…even the blood. This rapidly exposes testosterone to deactivating enzymes present in the liver and other tissues, and little of the steroid would reach target tissues.3 Swallowing pure testosterone or a testosterone ester is of little benefit, as over 98 percent of the drug would be lost before it even gets close to reaching muscle or any other target tissue. It is estimated that a man would need to swallow 400mg of pure testosterone daily to replace the 7mg naturally produced by the testes.

You are certainly missing the search button. There are hundreds of forums on HRT for men.

HRT has been commonly used with men for over a decade.
testosterone Rich- if you dont wake with morning wood like you did when 18 maybe you need it.
sure gets rid of the gut and man boobs too.

about a third of men over 55 are hypogonadic.

if you are one of them- it makes you feel so bad- suicide would be an option.

the hrt is almost immediate relief.

you feel normal again- like when you were young- ish!
