, i usually only deal with the post office with shipments arriving . The key is tracking code , tried in early days with insurance and tracking code , but never needed insurance with tracking .
Now i have a problem on a computer still on warranty in USA and i need to send it back , i’m not rushing and wasn’t asking here until this showed up and i wonder now with the flu bug goin ‘round if the post office here ( siem reap ) is the best bet now or a courier ?

Thanx and have a lovely day .
I would suggest DHL is a safer route but however you send it now takes a long time. DHL will be much more expensive than the post office but if it is a valuable laptop safety may be of more concern. You will probably have to pay tax again when it is returned. The whole process could take months.

I don't know about the insurance side of things but I recently sent an item to Australia via DHL from PP and it got there in 5 days. Also recently, I got a Mastercard credit card sent to me via DHL. Tracked all the way.

As well, this post says EMS is operating again via the Post Office...cheaper, although I'm not sure how reliable they are and whether I would risk a laptop.

I'm trying to ship something via pack and send from Aus. It keeps saying it can't find the postcode even though I believe its correct, according to this site: https://www.tourismcambodia.com/tourist ... l-code.htm

I get same issue on DHL

The key to posting/mailing or shipping anything to Cambodia through the likes of UPS - EMS - DHL etc lies in, firstly, knowing the following very basic information:

1.1. Name of Recipient/Addressee exactly as per Passport or Cambodian National Photo ID Card as mail frequently has to be collected in person against such
identification from the nearest Cambodia Post Office.

2.0 Then knowing the address in a Cambodian style such as some or all of the following:

2.1 House and Group Number + Phum/Village; Khum/Commune; Srok/District and Khet/Province. (Many village houses have the first part of this information on them as part of the commune registration process).

Then with this information one simply goes to this six digit postal code reference and identify the Phum/Village or at least the Khum/Commune.

http://www.geopostcodes.com/Cambodia (not a live link so cut and paste to your browser of choice)

It really is very easy as the post codes are geographically based and grouped as in most other countries these days.

And most important of all - clearly and boldly mark the addressees HP/Mobile Phone number in several places on the outer package for Cambodia Post to call to come and collect.

In fact Cambodia Post is more efficient that it gets credit for on this and many other forums IF one does things correctly. It is, however, somewhat slow moving items out of the Central Post office at Phnom Penh in to the nearest district post office although these delays may well lie at the province level rather than in Phnom Penh.
