You can't buy too many football kits for $50.

Maybe a good time to pick up some cheap uniforms from here if they don't mind a name change.
- and the opposing teams would tremble in fear

You could buy enough for a whole team plus subs.
You can buy a kit (no socks) in homesport at intercon for $3.5 each.

I've never seen them that cheap, and you need socks and boots.

Kids in rural Cambodia need socks and boots? It'll be the only pair of socks they own and they'll be going to weddings wearing the boots.
Most kids in the countryside will play sport in their bare feet.

Why bother with the kit at all then? Just give them different colored kramas and a ball made out of plastic bags and string.

Well there is no money to be made from that. You must have a NGO involved.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

By in large its their preference.

Boots are to protect feet and give grip. Cambodian kids have feet like blocks of mahogany - I've played football with youth who insist that they can't kick the ball right wearing 'those things'.
Often they only wear them because they think they ought to, not because they want to.

Ever wear studded or bladed boots on a hard Cambodian football pitch? You finish the match almost crippled!
