Headlights on in daytime, law?

Ask us anything. Cambodia Expats Online has a huge community of long-term expats that can answer any question you may have about life in Cambodia. Have some questions you want to ask before you move to Cambodia? Ask them here. Our community can also answer any questions you have about how to find a job or what kind of work is available for expats in Cambodia, whether you're looking for info about Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or anywhere else in the Kingdom. You're also welcome to ask about visa and work permit questions as well, as the immigration rules change often, especially since COVID-19. Don't be shy, ask CEO's community anything!

OK geniuses, I think we've all got that settled now...increasingly the norm with new cars is having daytime running lights.

What someone needs to do is to educate the dipshit traffic cops of this. Especially the dumb-asses standing across the street from the Acleda just before the Independence Monument roundabout.

They've stopped me twice about it. Once I tell them that they're welcome to re-wire my fucking car if they wish, they just let me continue on.

Daytime running lights have been the law in Canada for the past 30 years. Sweden has had the same law since 1977.

Did America change recently? I know DRLs are compulsory in Canada but I thought the U.S. didn't require them.

I remember some of my American friends asking if my car was broken because the lights wouldn't turn off.
